Every skein is carefully and lovingly hand dyed by me. No big team, not fancy equipment, just me pouring, sprinkling, turning, twisting and creating magic
Unique Colours
I tend to focus on multi coloured yarn, rather than tonals, so expect some fun, unique and wild blends of colour. There will sometimes be one off colour ways never to be repeated, so watch out for those!
Quality and Care
Every skein is carefully processed with professional, quality products, and the best possible care is taken throughout the dyeing, drying and packaging processes.
Who is Little Red?
That's me - Rachael.
Known as 'Red' for many years by my friends, and yes, little (a whole 5'1"), Little Red's Yarn just seemed an obvious name for my yarn business
I first started dyeing yarn in 2015, before taking a hiatus to raise my children in 2019.
I never stopped knitting and crocheting, and am always surrounded by yarn, but, after missing everything about my yarn dyeing business (ok, maybe not the admin and tax parts), and talking constantly about how I should really get back to doing it, I finally took the plunge and re-opened my studio.
I'm now fully back in my happy place, and loving creating beautiful luxury yarn again, and have been thrilled to have been welcomed back so warmly by some of my previous yarny regulars, as well as many new yarn fanatics.
